 | item: Yes, here is one more thing to blame on Woody Allen, as if he hasn't had enough problems in his life. Earlier this year I watched and reviewed in this space the film Radio Days that Woody directed. Every since then in the deep recesses of my brain the tunes Paper Dolls and Sentimental Journey have been pounding away. Hey this is music made before I was born, although maybe I picked it up in the womb. Why is it in my head? I am still a child of my generation and fought the anti-Vietnam War fight to the tunes of Bob Dylan's Desolation Row and The Rolling Stones' Gimme Shelter but I think I can make a little room for this, if only to keep my brain from stopping that pounding. Directly below are a few comments from my Radio day review that fit here and below that some specific comments on the ... see description |

 | item: I've always loved Hamlisch and hated Sayger Faker Baker, my GOD what a horrible dated, terrible lyrics and rotten scoring. I feel like take a shower now that I've listened to it. Not 1 memorable song, and it's amazing that Chorus Line which is 5 years before, is as fresh, brilliant and innovative as ever, and this piece of garbage started OUT dated. I was fortunate to see the Broadway musical back in the late 1970s. The love story of Marvin Hamlich and Carole Bayer Sager was done so well, I wish they would remake it again. I recently went to a small production of Theyre Playing Our Song and it made me recall just how catchy and "boppy" this show was - and rather than get out the old LP thought maybe i should buy the DVD - it may not be the best nor lavish musical - but if you want to brin... see description |

It has been featured on TV programs such as NBC's TODAY Show, ABC's Home Show, CNN, Lifetime Television, Jeopardy ("audio daily double"), and in publications such as "Dear Abby", Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Chicago Tribune & Boston Globe. Over 150,000 copies have been sold to dateWow! This song is by far the worst wedding song I have ever heard. It is so sappy it makes me cringe. I'm not saying she has a bad voice, or the lyrics are bad...but it sounds like some kids CD from the 80's. My fiance loves Slipknot. I think he would rather dance to Pulse of the Maggots than this crud. A Song For My Son On His Wedding Day
This is a beautiful song. Both the cou... see description |

 | item: " Road tripping from UCLA to the University of Maine, the UM band tackles staples ("Notre Dame Victory March," "Eyes of Texas," "Anchors Away," the stirring "Varsity") and sleepers ("Down, Down the Field," "Fight On, Pennsylvania"). Let's get right to the crux of the matter: Can the University of Michigan band really do justice to school songs from Big 10 rivals such as the University of Illinois, Northwestern, and the University of Iowa? The answer is mixed. --Steven Stolder . Only someone who, as was once said of Michigan alumnus Gerald Ford, "played too many games without a helmet," would listen to 41 Great College Football Victory Songs in one sitting, but for those who need to feel a little school fight, fight, fight, here's all the collegiate spirit one needs. The University of W... see description |
